Ayurvedic dishes for at home

Our kitchen „DreamTeam“ is always really concerned about your wellbeing. So they thought about giving away some of their favorite recipes for at home. They were especially keen on the so called „Dal“ – but this one is a „dal“ with a twist. It’s the chickpea dal. Serve it with a mango, coconut or strawberry lassi. You’ll absolutely love it!


Vegetable soup

Ayurvedic vegetable soup

To create an ayurvedic vegetable soup you will need: 1 litre of water, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1/2 of a bunch of leeks, 1/4 of a head of white cabbage, 1 small kohlrabi, 2 teaspoons of wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon of cilantro, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper kernels, salt, 1 teaspoon of Ghee, 1 onion, 1 lime, 2 cloves of garlic, some ginger and 1/2 cup of coconut milk.
Cut all of the vegetables, poor them into a pot with water and cook for about 30 minutes. Heat the Ghee in a pan and lightly saute the wheat flour. Add the mix to the soup and cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the coconut milk, lime and season with salt. Finished! Enjoy and bon appetite!



Avocado-Cream Soup

1 table spoon of Ghee, 3 table spoons of Semolina, 750ml of water or vegetable stock, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric, ½ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of Cayenne pepper, 2 soft Avocados, 100ml of cream, 3-4 tablespoons of fresh herbs, ¼ teaspoon of freshly ground nutmeg, 1 tablespoon of salt
Heat the Ghee in a pot and poor in the semolina. Keep stirring continuously until it’s golden brown and then user water or vegetable stock to deglaze carefully (caution – it could splatter)
Add turmeric, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Cut the avocados in half and take out the flesh with a spoon. Mash it to a creamy substance by adding the cream. When the soup has cooked and has been reduced through the cooking, serve the soup with the avocado cream after adding fresh herbs, nutmeg and salt immediately! Enjoy!
