Subject to compliance with certain rules, travel is possible again! You will find all information on carefree entry and a safe stay here. All bookings can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. This way you can book and enjoy your holiday without worries.

Arrival and departure

When entering Austria from an EU or EEA country, there is no quarantine obligation. Please take note of the exact entry and return regulations for your respective country of origin. You can find more information here.

In general, the 3G rule (“Getestet, Geimpft, Genesen” in German or “tested, vaccinated, recovered” in English) applies:

  • Unless you have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, you must have a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or rapid antigen test) no more than 48 hours old with you when you enter the country, as well as the completed entry form.
  • If you have been vaccinated, you need an official vaccination certificate (from 22 days after the first vaccination and no more than one year old).
  • If you are proven to have been infected with COVID-19 and subsequently have recovered, you will need medical confirmation or an official certificate for this (at least 28 days but no more than 6 months old) so that you do not have to show a negative test when leaving or entering the country.

Children up to the age of ten are exempt from compulsory testing.
